Yay! Golden Globes!

I couldn't actually watch the Globes, since the NBC affiliate in our area has pulled their station from the cable lineup (loooong story short, we have no NBC anymore) but I did watch the arrivals on cable and get the reports of winners from my mom, who watched from her house in SoCal.
I got to give the shout outs to my favorite winners of the night...

Actress, Musical or Comedy: Reese Witherspoon, "Walk the Line"
It's her third nomination, first win. She was previously nominated for a Globe for "Election" (one of my favorite movies) and "Legally Blonde" (a guilty pleasure if ever there was one).

Series, Drama: "Lost," ABC
I am an avowed Lostie, totally obsessed. They won the Emmy and were also nominated for a Globe last year. So happy they won, but what's up with Evangeline's dress...it's totally ugly.

Actor, Drama: Hugh Laurie, "House," Fox
The surprisingly hot and more surprisingly British Hugh Laurie. He totally deserves the Globe for House. That show would not work with anyone else in the role.
I just saw him in a Friends rerun, he played the guy who sits next to Rachel on the plane when she is heading to England to break up Ross' wedding to Emily...He was hilarious in that role too. I didn't even know who he was when I first saw that episode, but I loved him then and I love him even more now!

Actor, Musical or Comedy: Steve Carell, "The Office," NBC
Hilarious hilarious hilarious.
"Aaaaaarrrrgh Kelly Clarkson!!"
Congrats to Carell.

I didn't watch it either. I've been sucked into that stupid Bachelor show.

I am glad Reese/Joaquin won for Walk the Line. They deserved it.

And how could LOST NOT win?? In my opinion, it's THE best show on tv right now.

I didn't watch, but I heard it was a gay old time (cue in the Flintstones theme) Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Nora: I very nearly became addicted to the Bachelor as well this season, but I shook sense into myself. The guys that go on there, they are so weird! I would be freaked out if I was one of those girls.
All that crap about him not wanting to kiss anyone...what is that? It's weird.

I'll take Paradise Hotel over the Bachelor any day. At least those people weren't pretending to be prude and proper. They were pretending to be everything else they were, but not prude!

Amy: Evangeline and Dominic Monaghan, it is so wrong...So. Wrong.
Maybe the green symbolizes her inner troll?
I don't know. That dress ALMOST works for me, but it doesn't. It's like two shades too seafoamy, too 80s prom to work.
