A little while ago my phone rang.
Because the baby is napping, I raced to answer it.
The caller ID showed "Private Name Private Number".
I thought it was my mom...
I was so wrong.
It was U.S. President George W. Bush! Amazing!
Yes, that's right! W called ME!
He said I have to go vote next week. I am so totally doing it! I have a mission!

I got a call last night from the daughter of a local guy running for judge. She wanted to talk to me on and on about the evils of year-round schools (our County is going completely year-round calendar next school year, and some people are all upset that they are being forced to change). It was a recording, so I eventually just hung up on her.
Felt good.
Year-round schools sound like heaven to me...no kids roaming Wal-Mart all summer long??????!?!?!?

We're all about year-round in this house. Who wants to go on vacation in the summer when everyone else is on vacation too? Not me.
