My Crazy Kids

Dylan turns nine months old today! Wow. Time flies.
He's crawling around a little bit mostly going after food. This morning he crossed half a room for a frozen waffle. Whatever motivates him, I guess.

We watched football yesterday and followed the Raiders game on the computer since it wasn't on air in our area.

It's just as well, the damn Raiders blew it again. How does a team go undefeated in the preseason and then totally screw up the regular season games? I can't figure it out.

Next week it's Raiders vs 49ers: The Tidy Bowl.

In addition to Elizabeth's intense love of drawing all over her skin and most recently her face, she's moved on to pouring out the salt shaker all over the coffee table while her parents slept.

She's also taking sleeping in strange places to a new level.

Oh god I just accidentally clicked on the September 2005 posts and read about your too soon contractions and thought you were pregnant AGAIN.

Jessey said...

That would be so Britney of me.
But no, thankfully, I am not pregnant again.
I have to give some people *AHEM* the chance to have ONE before I go for the hat-trick.

Elizabeth can't be comfortable in that position.

Actually, she slept like that for an hour and a half then woke up, I hugged her, and she wanted to go back into the basket, so I put her and the basket, back into the cabinet and left her there to sleep another 45 minutes.
It must have been comfy.

That *ahem* had better not be at me.

Jessey said...

Of COURSE not.

You suck! Don't make me pull out my "we've been trying for the past two years but my husband has a low sperm count and my eggs are of poor quality so thanks for making us feel poorly and shut the F** up" story.

Jessey said...

That IS a good story.

I hereby redirect my AHEM to, oh, lemme see....how about Julie Pepper. Yeah, that'll work.

Meredith said...

Yeah! Let's AHEM Pepper!

I just found out my friend Kelly Finnegan is preggos and due in April. Remember her from Chico?

Jessey said...

I totally remember Kelly Finn, and Kelly Hamilton. Ham? Is that right?

Meredith said...

Yep, Ham has a 9 month old boy named Brody. Finn is due in April. Babies everywhere! Pep better get on the ball.

Jessey said...

It's true, there are babies everywhere...
Pretty soon Wes and Anne Marie will have another one...cause, they're like rabbits. (JK, like I'm any better! Or Andrea for that matter!)
At least noone's got Britney kids, yet. We can leave that one to Pep.

We have two friends that have recently become pregnant. It's like some unspoken and unwritten rule that at all times, someone we know must be pregnant.

Amy, don't fret. Our neighbors were trying for five years until they finally succeeded, and now they have two in no time flat. Elizabeth has lots of friends who tried unsuccessfully for years and now have at least one child, although a few are still unsuccessful.

If you really want to be pissed about it though, I can tell you the story about how Elizabeth planned both pregnancies down to when she would deliver. The first was for hockey season and the second was for a job she wanted at a new library (she didn't end up getting it, but Marcus was born right on time just in case).

Oh Chris, I was just kidding! We aren't even thinking of trying. That is always my threat of what I am going to tell people who ask us all the time when we're having kids. Which I know I shouldn't threaten, because then it will come true.

I knew it was just the "infertility card" as in, people bug you about babies, and you whip out the saddest story possible to make them a) never bug you again about it and b) feel really damn bad.

It's so cruel and mean, yet, I love it!

Raiders = ha ha ha.

How long until Dylan would be able to crack their starting lineup? My guess is...4 years.

I can't wait for the game this week.
Battle of the Bay. Whoo.

A guy I graduated high school with, Regan Upshaw, played for the Raider's a few years ago. He's on the Giants now. I think it's his 4th team since he started playing (in about 1996). He left Cal end of his sophomore year to go play football. Which is normal and all, but his mom was principal of our high school at the time so lots of the parents didn't like the fact that here she was running a school where lots of kids drop out, and she's celebrating that her son dropped out of a great college to play football.
