R.I.P.: Reese and Ryan

Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Phillippe split

I'm not sure if it's a side effect of the roles they each have taken, but Ryan Phillippe always comes off like a smug prick (see: Cruel Intentions, 54) and Reese, though I love her, seems like an uptight, controlling bitch (see: Election, Pleasantville, American Psycho, her guest spot on Friends).
I don't know, it's sad, but I can't say I didn't see this one coming.

He really should work in a shave, especially for the friggin' OSCARS.
Do you see? He's such a prick, he wouldn't even shave for the Oscars. And that is exactly what she's thinking in this picture:
"Ryan, you fucking prick! Shut up and get your stubble away from me!"

And he's thinking: "You're such an uptight, controlling bitch! Can't you see this stubble takes the attention away from my way too close together eyes!!?!?"
