Something wonderful

Someone (Eleeza) once asked me if ANYTHING good ever happens to me, you know, mixed in with the daily annoyance and tragedy...
Well, today, something WONDERFUL happened!
I was at the KFC drive thru (remember, I'm pregnant!) and I ordered the 3 crispy strips meal, which is horribly overpriced at nearly $5 withOUT a drink.
Anyway, I get up to the window and the gal who works there (who was easily 50 and definitely on meth) tells me that they ran out of crispy strips BUT if I'll wait just four minutes for more I can get a free soda AND $1 taken off the price of my food. Hell yes I'll wait.
And I happily sipped my Diet Pepsi whilst I waited, free of calories, free of charge.
Then when I get the meal, lo and behold, they put an EXTRA crispy strip in there! I got FOUR strips instead of the advertised THREE!
What a glorious day.

HUZZAH! KFC is a wonder among wonders and I'm so glad you got to enjoy in abundance and (partly) for free! You (and What's His Name) heartily deserve it! Especially after the nightmare that is Ameri-fuck-you-and-your-mother-Gas. (I think this is what their name ought to be. The dirty fuckers.) If I had mafia connections, I'd sic a horse's head on them. A pox on their house!

p.s. What's His Name would be the poor unnamed little boy living in your belly. Name him, please!

I am working on it!
I've got a good working list of names. Suffice it to say that Colonel Sanders is NOT on that list. Nor is Jock, Yanni or Tutankhamen.

Such a deal! I love free stuff (or nearly free) anyway. Good for you.

I was once in the drive thru at Taco Bell just trying to get a soda. I was so thirsty and for some reason everyone else in town was having bean burrito cravings or something and the line took FOREVER! But I was committed and ever-so thirsty so I waited. I ordered my soda and then about 57 days later got up to the window where you pay and the gal (who was also clearly on meth, it's a problem here) said, you know what, just take it, sorry about the wait.
And I drove off, free soda in drink holder, saying "Hell yeah!"
Free stuff rocks.

OK, now I'm detecting a meth problem in your neighborhood. First KFC & now Taco Bell... These minimum wage employees need help.

Oh yes, we live in meth country. We live in a two-county area that is very large and sparsely populated, so it's ripe for drug labs in the sticks. Many people up here fall into the trap of methamphetamine abuse.
