Back in MY day, we had a different term for people who were married and still had boyfriends and girlfriends on the side - Adulterers.
Another way to describe these people: slutty and indecisive.

I have enough trouble finding the time to be "amorous" with my ONE husband who I am contractually required to love until I die. I can't imagine a time when I would choose to schedule myself some more amor.
Ew.
Oh, but right here in the article it says "it's an important social movement," "they're not weirdos," "It's kind of like a tribe thing," "It's not about sex, it's about love," "It's multiple long-term, loving relationships that are based on friendship, not a multitude of booty calls."
Hmm, yeah, Ooooooooo-kay.

Yeah, right. It's all fun & games until someone gets pregnant, & then it's the poor kids that suffer.

It says in that article that the featured couple began their first slutty and indecisive relationship with a couple whose daughter was in kindergarden with their daughter. YIKES! Explain THAT at show and tell!!!
But then the husband decided to leave his wife (SHOCK!) and that ended the amor. Long-term and based on friendship, hmmm, methinks not.

That is precisely what my husband said, which I think bodes well for me, seeing as how I have already trapped him in the matrimonial bond.
i think people who are polyamorous and say its okay are just using it as a lousy excuse for not being able to commit to a relationship. it's not unlike taking the easy way out. I find it sad that alot of people are starting to think that it's perfectly normal and acceptable!
