It was just a matter of time

I knew eventually this would happen.
I've been waiting years for this to happen. Finally, my dream has come true.
Finally I know someone on the cast of Survivor!
I am beyond excited.

I came close a few seasons ago with the one-legged dude, as he was a fellow graduate of UC Davis. I think his name was Chad.
But I didn't KNOW him. Not at all.

This next Survivor though, I have an actual personal acquaintance on the cast!
"MY" Survivor is Bruce Kanegai, the 58 year old karate instructor from Simi Valley, Ca - my hometown.
Mr. Kanegai was my art teacher in high school. That year, it was my favorite class even though I took it with my ex-boyfriend. I learned how to draw perspective from the diminutive Mr. Kanegai, I also learned scratchboard. I may still have some of the art I made in that class. Mr. Kanegai also taught me that it only takes 9 pounds of pressure to break someone's collarbone. A good tip.

Good Luck Mr. Kanegai!

That's so exciting! Another reason to sit in front of the boob tube, but a good one at that. I hope YOUR survivor wins! :-)

I really am thrilled just to have a horse in the race!
It's such a small damn world, really.
It's almost creepy.

I hope Mr. K. survives.

I can't believe he's the oldest player out there. He's not even 60. Remember when they had Rudy on there? He was like 98 years old...not really, more like 72, but much older than 58 in any case.
