My Big Night Out

Friday night I went out on the town with some girlfriends. The kids stayed with my friend's fiance and her daughter and I can happily report there were no incidents.

Us girls, after ditching the children, went to the casino lounge (so classy, I know) to see a country cover band, drink Coronas and dance. It was super fun.
I two-stepped with a senior citizen, he was so cute!

After we had our fill of country rock cover tunes, we went to The Lodge, which is a total meat-market bar. But since none of us were in the market for any meat, we just had fun.
Except Lia.
Lia got her purse stolen right out of her car. We spent most of the rest of the night trying to find the purse, on the phone with cops, etc etc.
So fun!
Eventually, we called it a night and decamped to my friend Corinne's house. I ate a slice of pizza.
Then Lia and I drove back to her house where all the kids were. She was still purseless.
My kids were sleeping, barely, and I was very tired (ie: too many Coronas) so we crashed in her guest room. It was just like college! But with babies waking me up at 7 am wanting to breastfeed and toddlers jumping around on the bed, messing with the mini blinds all before I had even ONE cup of coffee. Very bad.

Later on that day, Lia called me to report that the police had found her purse! Yay! Someone had tossed it into the lobby of the police station and everything was still inside, credit cards, phone, cigarettes, everything. How weird.

It was nice to get out of the house, even if drama followed wherever we went!

So was the little guy tipsy after some Corona-laced breast feeding?

A night out is always fun no matter what kind of drama follows.

It sounds more fun than staying home and blogging ;-)
