A pah??!!?

Elizabeth: Mommy! Come help me make a pah!

Me: A what?

Elizabeth: A pah. A beautiful pah.

Me: I don't know what that is. What do you do with it?

Elizabeth: You make it.

Me: But, what IS it?

Elizabeth: It's a pah.

Me: Show me.

Elizabeth (stretching out a sparkly scarf to its full length on the floor): It's a pah!

Me: You mean a paTHHHHHHH? You walk on it?

Elizabeth: Yes! You walk on it! A pah!

So I guess even when they start talking you still don't understand what they want?

Most of the time I totally understand her...but there was that unfortunate "two pounds" incident when she kept telling me she NEEEEEEDED two pounds and started crying when I had no idea what she was talking about. I eventually figured it out...not TWO POUNDS, Zoo Pals.
Duh.

Now we say that all the time..."Not two pounds! Zoo Pals!"

Not only is it a keen "pah," but it's sparkly at that!

Athena still has mystery phrases that we can't figure out. Yesterday she kept saying "Be Five" in the car. I'm fairly certain she was saying "Me [something]" but I have no idea what "five" was supposed to be.

Maybe it was "me drive"?
Elizabeth always wants to drive

hmmmm.... you may be right. I think we'll be asking you to translate in the future! :-)

Whenever we go anywhere Elizabeth says, "Are you driving? I see you driving!"
Um, yeah.

She babbles constantly, so, my inner translator has had to really work overtime to keep up. She gets terribly frustrated if I don't understand her. I hate that.
