The Answer Is...

It's a BOY!!!!
Pray for me! Two boys!!!! Egads!

OK. Ultrasound is done.
Baby's gender is in a sealed envelope on the fridge. We're just waiting for Bob to get home from work to open it and find out.

The ultrasound tech said she was 100 percent sure of the gender. Not sure if that's a clue or not.
She did not give me ANY clues whatsoever, and I admonished her for that successful concealment of fetal gender.

Everything else was looking great. Baby has two legs, two arms, two eyes, wiggly fingers and is about 11 oz.

This is officially your LAST chance to register a guess...boy or girl? Phoe-be or Phoe-bo?

The u/s results will be posted later tonight!

If she's 100 percent certain, then it's a boy.

i always thought 100% certainty guaranteed a girly baby, not a boy-like baby... (cos it's easier for various other 'things' to be in the way and show a false positive?)
I'll go with girly.

Although I think I previously guessed boy-y.

I am sticking with my girl choice for two reasons. One. I saw the super secret belly pic. Two. You had a dream it was a girl. BUT, it makes me nervous that she's 100% certain...that seems to point in the direction of boy...

But maybe the baby was flashing her coochie on the u/s so it was just as easy to see there was no penis, as there was to see there was a penis.

Hurry up and get home, Bob! We are all waiting excitedly by our computers- hoping the power stays on long enough (during our CRAZY California storms)to hear- Boy or Girl!

Two boys! They will conspire against their big sister! Poor Elizabeth!

Either that or they will form a crack security force (with their Daddy as ringleader)...
I'm thinking security force personally.

Or, one of them could be gay and join forces with Elizabeth to gang up on the other. Just saying, gotta keep an open mind people!

Okay so now the more important thing is names. Because so far we've had incredible luck with NOBODY we know, either in real life or the fake land that is the internet, has chosen our names, and I'm expecting my luck will soon end.

We just went through FOUR huge boxes of baby clothes...all pink and girly.
Sigh.
We did end up with one storage box of boyish or straight up boy baby clothes.
It's a start.
All the girly stuff is going to SoCal with my mom to end up in the consignment store.

Ugh. And now we have to start thinking of boy names...so hard!

I wish I could feel sorry for you, but with me having two girls, I really think your lucky to have two boys!! LOL

So what names are you looking at?

If you ask Elizabeth, we will name this baby either Chi Chi La La or LooLoo Cha Cha...
Very creative lass.

Whoo hoo! Congrats on the news, and tell Elizabeth it's kinda cool being the only girl. I had five crazy brothers and I turned out ok. I think.

Yeah!! Congrats!! And I think boy names ARE totally harder...at least on agreeing on them with your hubby. Elizabeth is lucky she is the oldest - if she was the youngest, she would never be able to date! :)

With Dylan we had two names on deck and eventually named him Dylan. So the other name is still out there, waiting to be used (or not)...
I'll still be thinking of names though.

Yeah, we had a really hard time with boy names, but settled on Athena really quickly. We literally were still deciding Marcus' name in the hospital (as you probably remember.)

Re: Two boys... I.. I... I just feel really bad for you... I don't know what else to say.

At least your girl is your oldest and can therefore be part of your support group fairly early on.

Imagine, Elizabeth as a part of your support group!

It won't be bad once they get older and will be able to accompany their dad on woodcutting trips, hiking trips, getting out of my house trips.
It's the next four years that will be hell on my sanity and home! :)

Congrats! And FWIW, I think boys are great. You are lucky--less drama and less expensive clothes down the line!

Less EMOTIONAL drama perhaps but definitely more INJURY drama. Just based on my nephews and their proclivity toward bloodying themselves...
I am happy to have two little boys. Brothers are awesome!

Congrats!!! I am so jealous that you know. I would love to know what I am having (but alas I didn't find out so I am not stuck waiting another 9 weeks!). I am sure it will be great and the kids will be great older siblings!!!

I have been stalking your blog here and there and figured now was as good a time as any to make my presence known so CONGRATS! That is exciting news. :-)
