Just noticed you and Amy both use "on line" when referring to waiting in line at the store.

Is that weird?
On line?
Lemme see...
"I went to the store, got some milk and then waited on line for 15 minutes while the chick ahead of me had 800 coupons scanned."

or "..I waited in line..." Hmm, I don't know.
I think I would get IN line and wait ON line.
That is very interesting. Well, Amy and I, though in completely different time zones now, both lived in California for some of our formative years, maybe that has something to do with it?

It must be cause before Amy mentioned it I'd never heard of such a thing. Waiting "on" line?

What do you call a shopping cart?
Better yet, is it a soft drink or pop? I usually just refer to everything as coke and then later specify. As in, "Hey, get me a coke. I want a root beer."

I say soda, like, what kind of soda do you want? But all cola drinks are coke to me.
A shopping cart is just a cart to me.

Both my parents grew up in New Jersey, I was born there and pretty much the whole family still lives there so I attribute a lot of my weirdness to that too.

I grew up in New York & I say 'waiting in line', 'cart', and 'soda'. Go figure.
