Kelly Bundy Back on the Market

Emmy-award winner** Christina Applegate, who I don't really like, and her husband, Johnathan "He of the Ridiculously Multi-H'ed Names" Schaech are getting divorced.
This news comes fast on the heels of reports that Britney Spears kicked Kevin "K-Fed" Federline out of the house because he drinks too much and smokes too many blunts (Hey Lover....I wonder if LL is available...)
And THAT news comes right on the heels of reports that Spears was in talks to replace Applegate in the Broadway musical Sweet Charity - a role that incidentally earned Applegate a Tony nomination.
But, it's now reported that Britney passed on the chance to horribly mangle the memory of Christina's Tony caliber performance. Our loss, our gain.

If this post doesn't convince you that I pay WAY too much attention to the entertainment news...I don't know what will.

**That's right, Emmy WINNER. Christina Applegate won the Emmy for Best Guest Actress in a Comedy in 2003 for her turn on Friends as Jennifer Aniston's wacky sister Amy in the Season 10 episode "The One Where Rachel's Sister Babysits." Which is mostly funny because she calls Ross "falafel guy" for most of the show.
That episode is also TOW Joey uses a thesaurus to write a letter to the adoption agency on behalf of Chandler and Monica...which is also friggin hilarious.

Monica: Alright, what was this sentence originally?

Joey: Oh, ‘They are warm, nice, people with big hearts’.

Chandler: And that became ‘they are humid prepossessing Homo Sapiens with full sized aortic pumps...?

Joey: Yeah, yeah and hey, I really mean it, dude.

Monica: Hey Joey, I don’t think we can use this.

Joey: Why not?

Monica: Well, because you signed it baby kangaroo Tribbiani. Hey, why don’t you stop worrying about sounding smart and just be yourself!

Chandler: You know what? You don’t need a thesaurus, just write from here, your full sized aortic pump.

I watched Friends when it first came out & I thought it was funny. Then it became really trendy & I slowly stopped watching it. When I tried to watch it years later, it was still funny, but I couldn't follow who had hooked up with whom.

Ah yes, Friends. It did become quite inside jokey there toward the end.
What with the constant "we were on a break" refrain. That even popped up in the finale.
But for diehard fans like me it was great all around. I'll even still watch episodes I've already seen many times over when they come on TV. My husband says it's because I'm sick, and maybe he's got a point.
