I am sitting here this morning in my very cute flannel PJs getting payoff amounts for our car loans and my student loan. The total amount of money that will leave my bank accounts and head to others' is staggering...but yay!
It's happening!
I've actually already got the student loan payoff check sitting in an envelope, sealed, stamped and ready to be mailed. That's a friggin joy!
Hopefully I'll get to the bank and get the cashiers checks for the car loans today and get that taken care of, and also get paid up through next month on our mortgage and then I can just sit back and breathe a little bit easier knowing that I no longer owe multiple thousands of dollars. No more collections calls! Yahoo!
Just glimpsing the future of having a tiny sliver of the pie that is financial freedom...wow. That's nice.
This must be how Paris Hilton feels everyday.
That's hot.

There's no feeling in the world like paying off heavy debt. When I sold my house I used some of the money to pay off my 1 year old car. It was pure joy.
I think you should take yourself to a spa for a day to celebrate.
I second that!
I couldn't get a sitter, so I didn't get to the bank yet, but I did send off my student loan payoff...aaaahhhhhh. That's just the beginning.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll have enough wherewithal to take both kids into the bank...eek.
I did however, get to Walmart where I bought myself a nice new coffee maker. A brewstation, no carafe...I'm totally psyched to use it...hurry up tomorrow morning!!
Congrats, Jess!
They say money can't buy you happiness and it's true, but it sure can buy a lot of other stuff.
Brewstations are great. I call it the Darth Vader coffeemaker because the lid, when lifted, looks like ... well, you get it.
