I tried to highlight my own hair last night.
I know, I know.
I thought it would be easy. I thought it would be fun. It was neither.
The home highlighting kit showed pictures of what the dye would do to brown hair. The results on the box were slightly goldenish brown, but still brown.
I've got platinum streaks.
Where did I go wrong!?
I feel like Brenda Walsh when she tried to dye her own hair blonde and ended up with an orange frizz poof. Very bad.
Thank goodness the kit was only $8 because I'll probably spend $50 getting this mess fixed by a pro.
Add this to the list of "Things to Only Be Done By a Professional"
1) Rescue from burning car
2) Major surgery

4) Hair highlighting
