Dylan's Manly Pumpkin Hat

Dylan is dressing as a pumpkin for Halloween. His costume (which was his SISTER's first Halloween costume as well) comes with a little bonnet hat that is made to look like the top of a pumpkin.
Well, when we tried the outfit on, the hat was deemed too sissified for Dylan to wear. This proclamation came from his father. I thought the bonnet hat was "cute" but I guess that "cute" is not manly.
And I quote:

"Bonnets are for girls"

So, last night I made Dylan THIS hat to wear with his costume.

It has been approved as manly enough for a baby to wear on Halloween. Huzzah!

Oh my God! That shot from the back... his HEAD... it's ENORMOUS.

You should enter his head in the pumpkin contest at the State Fair. :-)

Yes, I made that hat portion in one night and sewed it all up. I made the stem and leaf on Halloween morn. It was really quite easy. Even for a bighead, the kids' hats are smaller and thus quicker, plus, I did a different stitch on it than I use for the regular hats, since it didn't have to be a super warm, winter weather quality hat...anyway, blah blah blah...

Dills, you find the pattern and I can probably make you Yoda ears, you nerd!
