Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy....
Despite the fact that there is still snow on the ground, in the shade, I am wearing flip flops today and noone can stop me!
That's right!
The last two or three days we have seen a break in the frigid grip of old man winter and our daytime temperatures have SOARED into the mid-50s. Break out the shorts!
Nah, not really, but it's in that weird middle ground where it's too warm for sweaters and jeans and too cold for T-shirts and shorts and T-shirts and jeans are too casual for work and sweaters and shorts just look SILLY!
So I've been wearing light sweaters and jeans and getting all perspire-y. This clearly is not working.
Today I'm experimenting with alternative footwear as a means to reducing my internal core body temperature. Instead of oppressive sneakers and socks, I am wearing cute golden flip flops (and jeans and a sweater).
I know as soon as it DOES start getting hot, I will cry out loud for the snow and cold to come back, but for now I say "Bring it on SUNSHINE!!"

I'm thinking of flip flops in the snow and it's making my toes fall off.
But I'm with you on the wanting warmth thing. That's why I shall never move farther north than the North Carolina/Virginia border, baby!
