Dylan's Well Check!

He's now 18 months old.

Incredible!
His well check was this week.
Here are his stats:

Height: 32 inches - between 25th and 50th percentile
Weight: 26.8 lbs - between 50th and 75th percentile
Head: 50 cm - between 90th and 95th percentile

The doc and I had a nice discussion about Dylan's budding bad temper. He gets frustrated and lashes out, tipping over chairs, smacking whoever has vexed him, throwing himself to the floor in a huge fit.
Doc said the frustration was normal, but the hitting was not cool. Dylan now gets time-outs when he hits. We stick him in his crib and let him cool off. It seems to be working!
After just two days (and only three time-outs) I think he's getting the message. He got mad at me last night and instead of hauling off and smacking me, he walked over, put his hand on my arm and gently pushed me. Then he looked at me with a face that said: "That is TOTALLY allowed! Not a time-outtable offense at all!"

So he's getting the picture.

On an interesting note. I had Elizabeth jump up on the scale to weigh herself, for comparison with Dylan. She weighed a little over 31 pounds, so they are not even 5 pounds apart in weight.
Crazy!

Did you also talk to the doctor about whether he is going to grow into his head? It's normal for heads to be larger, right?

Harsh!
Elizabeth had a big head too. Bob and I both have big heads.
I think he's gonna be stuck with a big giant head!
It's good though. More room for his giant supergenius brain!

I know, that was mean! It's much better than your head being in the 10th percentile though.
