Here's the news...

I am VERY nervous about this...just so you know, so be nice...

I'm pregnant. Again.
Yep.
I'm around 7 weeks right now. I was going to wait and wait and pull a Christina Aguilera and get fat and deny deny and then just tell everyone right after the kid was born...but it's killing me not to share...

So all you ladies with no kids better get crack-a-lacking, because I'm working on No. 3 already.

This doesn't really shock me. The real question is, which is rude to ask but I'm asking anyway, is whether baby #3 was a surprise like Elizabeth & Dylan.

And congrats and all that good stuff. And you'd better not steal my baby names.

Yep.
Surprise Mrs. Fertile Myrtle!
I need to double up on BC from now on...or just get made surgically infertile...
What ARE your baby names, you know, just so I know which ones not to steal!

AND out of my own curiosity, why is this not shocking? I was shocked! Am I just so fertile that everyone just expects me to be PG at all times? Or what?

I'm not telling anybody my names. Nobody needs to be pulling a Rachel and stealing my names in the delivery room.

Well, I am slightly shocked that apparently your husband is so fertile he can abolish your attempts at BC. I just wasn't shocked that you are having a third. . .I think you may have alluded to wanting more in the past.

So your names are Sandrine and Vito?
Heh.

Here's the gory details...(not too gory)...I was using NuvaRing which is inserted, interior BC. Took it out for the menstrual week...didn't have any more. had to make an appt with OB. We were careful as far as days go (so I guess that's the rhythm method) and you're not supposed to regain fertility like instantly. We thought we would be OK. Then I started feeling sick and tired...whuh oh.
So my BC appt went to a PG appt, though i tested neg. then it was just very early. I tested positive two weeks later. So now I HAVE the BC and no use for it. :)

so yeah, basically not understanding my BC would not postpone a return to fertility at all and my uber-fertility combined to knock me up.

Vito is not too far off.

That is why I stick with the pill. Not hard to understand that. Although two weeks ago my husband's insurance realized that they were paying for my BC, and said no way, we're not her primary. So my primary, in addition to only giving me one month's supply at a time (because BC is hot on the black drug market), made me take the generic. I was freaking out at the pharmacy, asking her if there was any reason for concern, and did I need to take any precautions. What I really wanted to ask was "If I have sex with my husband tonight am I going to wind up pregnant!" But she was far away and I didn't want the tourists to think that Alaskans are sex fiends.

For surprise pregnancies though, you did very well spacing your kids apart at age intervals.

OMG! Congratulations Jessey! Are you excited? I think I would be scared if I ended up with a "surprise" pregnancy right now. My kids are INSANE. Especially the little one.

Jessica said...

I'm excited and happy and terrified all at once.
You know...
My kids are insane too. And they help each other be crazier than they could ever be apart...
Here's hoping for one chill kid!

Congrats! Your news makes me feel so much better... I don't feel so alone in the whole being pregnant deal. I got to give you cred for going for #3. I've heard after 2 it isn't a big deal though. I am wishing you a blissful pregnancy!

Yeah, after two you're already fat, broke, stressed and crazy. and your house is perpetually in the path of toddler tornados, so it's all good. what's one more?
Plus they can't really screw up the house too badly for at least 7-8 months...so that's a plus!

Amy! No Vito Newman. No!

Shut up! I am surprised, but I knew you wanted #3 so I guess I shouldn't really be that surprised. I am just not in the next kid mindset yet...the one is already a lot of work! Congrats to you and Bob. And big sister and big brother!

Jessica said...

I should have mentioned that Elizabeth is thrilled. She has ordered a baby sister and has decided to call her Fiona Michelle.
She wants a sister because "we already HAVE a baby brother"

Congrats!!!

Now I wonder if Mommy Librarian is going to have a Number Three too ? *wink**nudge**wink*

Not Vito Newman, but in la famiglia italiana.

Whoa. THREE kids? I think you're crazy, but if you're happy, congratulations! :)

Yay! Congrats Jessey and Bob and bro and sis! My favorite part is Elizabeth saying we already HAVE a baby brother- that is such a big sister thing to say :) I'm happy for you guys and know Dylan and Elizabeth will have a blast having another little one to play with.

Athena did tell me that she wants a sister the other day. To which I thought, "No sister for YOU!"

Jessey, you are one brave mutha (literally). I have toyed with that third child idea, but only because I'm half-crazy. Fortunately, my sane personality (who is not named "Vito") intervenes and reminds me that I'm being crazy.

Amy, if you had already gotten pregnant by now, you wouldn't have to worry about Jessey stealing your names... think about it...

Jessica said...

Elizabeth, I can let you borrow MY Elizabeth for a few days and that will either totally CURE Athena of wanting a sister or make her want a sister even MORE! Either way, I'll have an Elizabeth free weekend!!! Whaddya think?? :) she doesn't eat much...
She cleans...lemme know... :)

eaf said...

You had me at "she cleans." Put that kid on a plane and tell me when to get her!

Jessica said...

I got home from work and she was "fake cooking" casserole, meatballs and spaghetti. I might have to keep her after all!

hope you're feeling well....
i am curious... what were your crazy preggers-lady cravings during the first two, and what can you not live without during this one? any changes??

Jessica said...

Aside from being so tired I can't see straight, I'm feeling great!

As far as cravings go...with each one I've wanted fruit badly...very badly. And milk. Which are good cravings to have since you need more fruit and milk to make a good baby.
I don't really remember any other strange cravings, though I did take to chewing my hair with Elizabeth...
I did have to give up pizza with Dylan because just the thought of it made me sick. I don't remember if anything in particular was off limits with Elizabeth...anything gross or not allowed while pregnant...
No oyster shooters! :)
