The other day Bob called me into the kitchen like this...
"Jessica! Did you hear what your daughter just said?"
I'm thinking, I really need to stop cussing while I drive with the kids....
So I go in there, fully prepared to be in trouble.
Elizabeth is standing there beaming with pride. Hmmm....what's going on?
"Tell your mom what you just told me," Bob said.
"Ok," Elizabeth said. "Mom. When you smell something, what you're smelling is tiny molecules. Everything is made from molecules. They're too small to see, but you CAN smell them!"
"Where did you learn that?" I asked her.
"I don't know, I just know it!" she said.
Cut to two nights ago...Elizabeth is having trouble falling asleep so I laid down with her.
"I love you all the way to the sun," she said.
"I love you all the way to Pluto!" I said.
She flipped around and sat straight up and looked at me very seriously and said...
"Mom, you know it's not a planet anymore."
"Yes, I know."
"Well what is it now?" she asked.
"I guess it's just a rock," I said.
"Just a rock, hmm. Yeah."
