The day before my mom left my throat felt scratchy.
I took Emergen-C and drank some tea and hoped for the best.
The day my mom left my nose was stuffy.
I took some DayQuil, more Emergen-C, drank some tea and hoped for the best.
The day after my mom left I was full-blown ill.
Elizabeth put on all her doctor stuff (lab coat and all) and examined me.
She took my temperature.
"Yep. You have a favor."
She took my blood pressure.
"You're sick!"
She gave me a shot of something in my arm.
"I have just the medicine for this."
I asked her, "so what do you think I have doc?"
"You have diabetes mixed with ill."
"Diabetes?!?"
"Yes. Lots of them, going all through your body, mixing with the ill."
